Sinterklaas is the main figure in the annual children's celebration on 5 December, which is referred to as Pakjesavond (gift night). Muziek in de Cathrien (Music in the Catharina) is a continuous series of concerts, organized by the "Stichting Kerkconcerten Eindhoven" (foundation for Church Concerts Eindhoven). Every month, the concert on the first saturday of the month has a vocal/instrumental character, on the second saturday it has a chamber music character, on the third saturday there is a choral concert and an organ concert is given on the fourth saturday. The starting time is 15:00 and lasts about 1 hour. The concerts take place in the Catharina church in the centre of Eindhoven. At the concerts on the first saturday of the month, the concert is preceded by a carillon-concert. Admission is free. The European Championships Water Polo will be organized in Eindhoven from the 16th of January until the 29th of January 2012. The best in the world of Water Polo can be admired in the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swimming Stadium. Former World champion Serbia, World Champion Italy, Olympic champion Hungary and European champion of 2010 Croatia will all be present in the men's tournament. In addition to those, many other leading countries will be present, including Montenegro and Italy. The Dutch team will, naturally, be present as well, coached and trained by Johan Aantjes. The goal for this team is to close the gap with the European top. Support of the Dutch fans is important for the team, especially in a competition in which they will encounter so many strong teams.
